To be considered as a recipient for a donated adaptive bike (recumbent trike, power-assisted recumbent trike, or hand-cycle), please download and complete this attached form and attach a separate letter stating why you should receive a donated adaptive bike.

Connecticut Adaptive Cycling

Connecticut Adaptive Cycling (a program of C.A.M.P.) offers hand-cycle, recumbent trike and adaptive cycling program for children and adults in Connecticut. The program offers scheduled recreational rides on the East Coast Greenway, Farmington Valley Rails to Trails pathways which extend from New Haven to the Massachusetts line. CAC seeks out competitive rides and venues as appropriate for CaC members to handle. The adaptive cycling program is designed to allow children and adults who are physically challenged to participate in a team, group environment, at their own individual level based on age, physical ability and riding skills. CAC uses athletics as a vehicle not only to grow stronger physically, but additionally to experience the team conceto also participate on recreational rides. pt, team camaraderie and personal self esteem. It allows for the physically challenged athletes to participate with others experiencing similar life challenges, while at the same time allowing for family members and friend to also participate on recreational rides!
